Town Oh Professor of Economics at DePauw University

Town is an Assistant Professor of Economics at DePauw University, where he holds the Endowed Professorship for Early Career Distinction. His research and teaching focuses on labor and immigration economics, with particular attention to wages, discrimination, and unionization. He also holds the Prindle Professorship, awarded by DePauw's Prindle Institute for Ethics in recognition of his contributions to freedom of expression, civic discourse, and ethics on campus. He previously conducted policy research at the Cato Institute on topics ranging from immigration, unionization, and recent Dept. of Labor policies on H1b visa workers.  His work on labor policy and immigration has appeared in Research in Labor Economics and in Cato Institute publications. An Indiana Hoosier at heart, he calls Chicago his second home.
